The Rapture Theory

I remember as a young lad, I would watch Star Track on our programming device.  It was exciting to watch them beam up or down to these studio sets, as if they were on another planet.  It was the catalyst that exploded the space race, all built on the imaginations of men.  Like the Psalmist said, they imagine deceits all day long and believe they can accomplish what's impossible.  Like the space race that doesn't exist, they lie like a mother fucker.  For one, the Van Allen Belt, aka the shields of the earth, is at a temperature range that melts metal.  Then there's that dastardly sun, raining radiation all around outer space.  Shit, with all the signal noise, it is impossible to transmit data without destroying it like molten lava can.  I think it's fascinating how we see pictures of day light on Mars as if it were the same distance from the sun as the earth.  With that many miles away, it would seem like the atmosphere wouldn't be as bright as we see it here on earth.  Needless to say, heaven is spared from evil men soaring its heights.

So here I sit thinking how many people fell for the rapture theory.  It's like, "beam me up Jesus, I'm coming home!"  Could it be a coincidence that we believe such garbage when it is nowhere to be found in the Bible, no scripture supports it and has perverse synonyms like ecstasy, sexual pleasure and joy.  Perhaps converts are expecting an orgy, blaspheming God like there's no tomorrow.  If only people knew.  Yet, we have all these false prophets, as if God were speaking today, brainwashing us with this devilish theory.  We could care less about the ills of the world because our plastic Jesus is going to appear in the clouds like superman and save us all, real scholarly thinking.  As a side note, we really need to throw that television set away, it's programming us into believing nothing is impossible with man.

As a closure, we need to take heed to the Word of God, scrutinize everything, stop the opium flow of a feel-good religion, and really seek after the Lord with all our hearts soul and minds.  We need to remember that men can hear from whatever messenger or dream and believe with his whole heart that it's from God Almighty and in person, whereas scripture mentions that God has been silent for a long time in prophecy.

On the brighter side, we can learn to discern by reading the Word of God. We will discover that "if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel."  Also, if we earnestly take heed to the warnings and learn of God's ways, we can start a revolution of a revival.  Like it says in 1 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
